A Year in Review: NBTA Board-Certified Truck Wreck Attorney Scott A. Faultless

Co-founder of Craig, Kelley & Faultless and Truck Accident Attorney Scott A. Faultless has spent the past year working diligently on clients’ cases, continuing to build his expertise, and sharing his knowledge with others. In fact, the firm now has two of only four attorneys in Indiana who are Board-Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, accredited by the American Bar Association, and Scott is one of them.

Throughout 2025, Scott has achieved several things regarding his career, as well as been heavily involved in several educational opportunities. Here is his year in review.

A Knowledgeable Speaker

Scott was one of the co-hosts with his firm partner, David W. Craig, for the “Winning Truck Wreck Cases” seminar in August, which was organized by Craig, Kelley & Faultless and presented by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.

Full of several informative presentations regarding truck accident law, Scott was one of several trucking law experts who spoke at the event. His session covered “Vicarious Liability for Independent Contractors”, which delved into the importance of proving several parties may have been liable for a truck wreck.

This was the firm’s second year hosting the seminar, which brought in attorneys and paralegals from Indiana and beyond to expand their knowledge of trucking litigation. The next annual seminar will be held on August 10, 2026.

Also, in tandem with his firm partner, David, Scott was part of running a four-hour workshop in February for the Florida Justice Association’s John Romano Workhorse Seminar. Scott and David educated the audience about trucking litigation, the licensing requirements and industry standards truckers must follow, the importance of properly investigating these accidents, and more.

In October, Scott acted as a moderator for a webinar hosted by the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), of which he is a co-chair for the academy’s Safety Committee. Led by attorney and fellow ATAA member Adewale Odetunde, the webinar was titled “Crash Avoidance and Autonomous Vehicles in 2025” and covered the ways truck safety is changing with the implementation of new technology.

Lastly, in November, Scott participated in a Zoom lecture for college students at the University of Connecticut. Scott was invited to speak by Dr. Douglas Casa, who teaches kinesiology and was an expert on a case. His 45-minute session included a lecture about a case from a lawyer’s perspective and student questions and answers.

An Accomplished Attorney

This year, Scott was selected to Super Lawyers for the 11th consecutive year since 2015, having previously been selected from 2011 to 2012. The Super Lawyers selection process is research-driven and peer-influenced, only selecting the top 5% of attorneys to the Super Lawyers lists every year.

Scott was also recognized for the 2026 Edition of Best Lawyers® in the practice area of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. Scott has been recognized every year since 2018. Each edition of The Best Lawyers in America® is based on peer reviews and honors attorneys in 150 practice areas.

Finally, Scott is the Co-Chair of the ATAA Safety Committee. The ATAA is a membership organization that is dedicated to helping plaintiff lawyers and paralegals gain the expertise needed to handle truck wreck cases properly.
