Truck Accident Attorney and Managing Partner David W. Craig Named in Indiana Super Lawyers Top 50 List

For nearly 40 years, Truck Accident Attorney and Managing Partner David W. Craig has been a steadfast client advocate, representing more than 1,000 trucking cases. He is one of only four attorneys in the state of Indiana who is board-certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, accredited by the American Bar Association.

David’s achievements have culminated in his naming to the Top 50: Indiana Super Lawyers List for the fourth consecutive year, in addition to his continued status as a Super Lawyers Honoree since 2011.

The attorneys selected to the Top 50 Indiana Super Lawyers list represent a fraction of the 5% of attorneys that are chosen as Super Lawyers honorees in the state. Lawyers with the highest “point” totals from the nomination and independent research portions of the Super Lawyers selection process are chosen to serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel. That panel then evaluates the other contenders in their primary practice area. All candidates are reviewed by the Blue-Ribbon committee, and only attorneys who have the highest level of reputation, results, and visibility are selected for the Top 50.

In 1999, David co-founded Craig, Kelley & Faultless, a personal injury law firm, alongside Scott A. Faultless and William J. Kelley II. The firm is headquartered in Indianapolis with additional offices in Richmond, Avon, Batesville, the southside of Indianapolis, Evansville and St. Louis Missouri. The firm now has 10 attorneys, all of which have been recognized and honored, with nine honored in the 2026 Super Lawyers or Rising Stars lists.

David graduated from Indianapolis University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1985. As a young lawyer, he handled his first truck wreck case. A dump truck drove off the highway, through a parking lot, through a fence, through a building and struck his client. David ultimately discovered the driver had an untreated epileptic condition that the trucking company knew about. They had his medical exam rubber stamped, and the driver had a seizure while driving. The company blamed it on a mechanical issue, but David took the case to trial and secured financial compensation for his client. That case shaped the focus of his career.

Throughout the course of his legal career, David has been recognized as a Top 100 Indiana Trial Lawyer, named in the newest edition of The Best Lawyers in America®, and is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He sits on the Board of Regents of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys and was awarded the National Thurgood Marshall “Fighting for Justice” Award from The Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America for his work representing truck accident victims. He is the only one in Indiana who has ever received it. He also received the highest rating available by Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to his work with clients, David creates informative content about truck accident law and the trucking industry to help spread awareness to the general public. He is the host of the podcast After the Crash, which is currently ranked No. 4 in personal injury podcasts on FeedSpot, where he regularly interviews a wide variety of trucking experts. He has also authored two books, Semitruck Wreck: A Guide for Victims and Their Families and It’s Never Been Easier to Hire the Wrong Attorney.

David’s primary motivator is the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, particularly the lives of his clients, employees, their families, and the communities in which he practices. It is the motivation that drives him to fight for the justice his clients deserve.
