Every year the Indianapolis Bar (IndyBar) Foundation honors lawyers who advance justice and lead positive change by designating them as Distinguished Fellows and Distinguished Life Fellows. Attorney David W. Craig was honored to be among the 2026 Class of Distinguished Fellows. Attorney candidates for the IndyBar Foundation Fellows Programs are considered based on a long record of service, an exemplary standing, and exceptional contributions to the Indianapolis legal community. Those who use their talents to advance justice and lead positive change are invited to become a Distinguished Fellow. They commit to continue to support the IndyBar Foundation.
Since 1968, the IndyBar Foundation has been a community-focused leader of the city’s legal profession with the intention of providing charitable opportunities for the members and friends of the Indianapolis legal community to donate their time and money toward worthy causes, such as providing support to central Indiana families of limited means experiencing legal issues and supporting law students and young lawyers are they begin their careers.
Over the years, the IndyBar Foundation has granted more than $2.5 million to support educational, cultural, character-building, and community service organizations. The Distinguished Fellows program was formed in 1982 and has bestowed this distinction upon more than 1,500 central Indiana attorneys. The foundation’s ongoing grants and programs are maintained solely through the generosity of its directors, fellows, and donors. The Distinguished Fellows have helped to create resources like IndyBar’s Free Wills Clinics, the Community Empowerment Grant, Virtual Ask a Lawyer, and scholarships.
