Advice and Inspirations: Truck Accident Attorney David W. Craig Interviewed by Authority Magazine

One of his most interesting cases occurred when he represented a family where the father was killed by box truck, but years later the driver who hit the father was also killed by a commercial motor vehicle. David was hired by the widow because she knew he could fairly represent her late husband’s case. Additionally, he discussed how some of his most fascinating cases are those where the clients are more focused on changes in the industry than they are on settlements.

Furthermore, he makes it a personal goal to make a positive difference in the lives of clients, families and the community. He does this by teaching people about distracted driving, educating about the dangers of driving around large trucks, and hosting safety events.

Ultimately the 5 pieces of advice he would give to aspiring attorneys include:

• Take care of your health as you get older so you can continue fighting for clients.
• Pick a niche sooner and become an expert in that area.
• Turn down opportunities that don’t help you advance your knowledge of that niche.
• Focus more on your firm and your clients and less on your competitors.
• Don’t worry about the attorneys that are unethical because the good attorneys ultimately win.
